Ok, after SantaClaus, I have made the Christmas balls and hanged 'em on the tree.
Just use the usual water balloon, inflate it, cover with toilet paper or newspaper and some vinil glue.
Update: I found that using alternatively a layer of toilet paper and a layer ot newspaper it gives a better result,
the ball looks more "smooth" and omogeneous.
So, here the phases are:
- Cover the balloon woth newspaper
- Till the paper is still wet, cover with a layer of toilet paper
- Let it dry and repeat still more 2 or 3 times
- Cover again with toilet paper
- Repeat till, once dry, the ball is almost total white
After the second layer of paper, take a thin wire, short (7/8 cm) and bend it to a hook; beware that the wire follows the shape of the ballon, such that the final toilet paper layers will cover it and hide it.
Now the ball is finisched, and you just have to color it the way you want
Use any color you want; if you want a glossy ball, use achrilyc colors and water vanish
Time
Making the ball is fast, about 2 hours per ball; but consider also all time spent waiting for the glue to dry. Usually I used to spend 2 hours in the evening and prepare 4 balls at the same time, so i could speed up my work
