Basically you have to follow the main instructions. Inflate the balloon till you
get a diameter of about 5 inches and a length of 8 inches.
Cover it all with 3 layers of newspaper: since the big size of the balloon, you can use bigger paper strips than
the one suggested; anyway, for small areas and where it is more curvy, use smaller strips.
Once you have finished with the 3 layers, get 4 flexible straws: use it to shape the legs (4 or 6) and a
shorter one to shape the sting.
Just cut the straws about one inch from the end of the longer part, and cut it vertically to open the straw in 2 parts:
thrown away a half, and use a tape to stick the straws to the body of the bee.
Meanwhile, prepare another balloon and use it for the head of the bee: it will be surely smalle than the body.
Don't cover it all, leave a small part open to stick the head to the body.
Use some tape to stick the 2 balloons, and some paper and glue to cover holes in the "neck".
Still there is the sting to do. Burst the balloon, and in the small hole left insert one short piece of straw,
and tape it to the body.
Cover all with other 3 layers of toilet paper.
Now that you have done the bee, all you have to do is paint it: black and yellow strips in the body, sting, head and legs in black; then paint two big eyes, a beautiful red nose and a nice smile.
You also need a couple of wings to fly!
The bee in the pic has the wings in transparent film, and a thick plastic wire.
